PVC Versus Epoxy Powder Coating

6/30/2009

Did you know that SCHULTE uses epoxy powder coating on vetilated wire shelving? It is more durable and more environmentally responsible than the alternative, vinyl (PVC).

PVC cannot be effectively recycled and is harmful to both human health and the environment due to chemicals that are released during its production.

While some of SCHULTE's competition continues to use PVC, there are many retailers phasing it out completely including Nike, Target, Dell and Apple.

Epoxy powder coating is nearly 100% recyclable and releases no harmful VOCs into the environment. Retailers who make the simple switch to SCHULTE receive stronger, environmentally friendly products.

SCHULTE's new green impact sell sheet is available on the dealer extranet for you to download and share with your local builders.
