Home storage and organization continues to be a top priority for new home buyers according to Roper Reports and Better Homes and Gardens.
Comfort, space and organization are the top three priorities that Americans want in their dream home, according to a survey by Roper in 2008. In addition, Better Homes and Gardens recently surveyed more than 700 home owners across the country and identified their top six priorities when buying a new home:
* affordable price
* energy-efficient building/heating-cooling systems
* natural light
* no-space-wasted design
* ample storage area
* comfortable gathering areas
69% of the respondents listed no-space-wasted design and ample storage as very important.
These are important facts to share with your local builders to show the importance of storage upgrades. A new sell sheet with this information is posted on the dealer extranet to download and print. Use the sell sheet to send an email or a mailing to your local builders or to hand out at the next NAHB tabletop night.
